The next phase will be, "Okay, so climate change IS caused by human activity, but it's only because of those dirty brown people in CHYNA who cause most pollution".

One line of argument they're pushing now is: "Sure, human activity is causing climate change, but it would be too expensive to do anything about it.". Saw this from hellsdale college

This is what they believe, without seeing the irony in their statements.

Never in a million years will I use the stupid, contradictory 'word' '''unironically'''. You may think this is a weird thing to go off about but I hate that word. I hate it with every fiber of my soul. I hate that it's so prevalent because everyone who uses it has no idea what the word 'irony' means. Irony is not sarcasm. Irony is when you don't see the irony in your statement because if you knew it it wouldn't be irony, it would be sarcasm. So the word "unironically" literally makes no sense because """"unironically""" literally means the same thing as "ironically" in its original meaning!!!

      Sorry I had to.

Sarcasm is a form of verbal irony, the irony being that there's a difference between what the speaker says and what they actually mean.

Yes, but in this case the speaker is aware of the irony. Unironic just means that there's no irony.

Yeah, I think that's the point of saying "unironic" instead of a direct antonym like "sincerely" - the latter connotes that the speaker might just be honest or mistaken while the former signals that there's a joke that the speaker isn't in on and that the only acceptable usage of the target term is an ironic one.

Ecofascism is already the norm of international capital. This is just its incorporation of climate change.

It's a shame that Ents aren't real because watching one of them toss the entire Huckabee family off a cliff would be real neat
