Ashkenazi Jews fill the most sorely needed role in the worldview of European chauvinists: not merely a scapegoat, but an entity that is so close to "whites" that it can selectively be substituted for any of the wrongdoing of "white people". It would never be enough to accuse a foreign, dissimilar entity of societal woes; people are at least smart enough to notice their absence. With a boogeyman that looks the same, a chauvinist can suppress any guilt or doubt with convictions about giant coincidences.

I've often said that if nazis literally achieved their dream of wiping out the entire population of Jews or whoever their scapegoat of the week is, they would quickly find another scapegoat, or pretend like the scapegoat still exists, and try to apply the label to people who don't fit the bill. In short, if a nazi runs out of jews to kill, he will simply start calling other people Jews. Their entire ideology is dependent on having someone to scapegoat. It's unsustainable.

However, the goal of American Nazism with Liberal Characteristics(tm) is exactly the same; the extermination of all life in service of the inhuman force of capital compelling us to our doom. I think this ideology can safely be called Absolute or Radical Evil.
