In 1991, artist Michael J. Deas enlisted Jennifer Joseph to model for the updated Torch Lady logo for Columbia Pictures. Deas, known for his lifelike art, wanted to design a timeless and strong symbol, and Joseph was a perfect fit.

The photo session happened in Deas' New Orleans studio, helped by photographer Kathy Anderson. Deas turned Joseph's photos into a painting that became the updated Torch Lady logo. The logo featured a detailed 3D figure in a robe holding a torch, surrounded by glowing light.

Since its debut in 1993, the Torch Lady logo has had few changes and remains a symbol of Columbia Pictures' storied past in the film industry. Joseph didn't anticipate her image becoming so well-known, but her involvement was crucial in creating the logo we recognize today.
