i just graduated in a science and the class was like 20% women. even now in the "enlightened world" or whatever the fuck. it sucked, both for lesbian reasons and for feminist reasons (and for night out reasons. having to figure out which of my 100% male friends and acquaintances i can trust alone and drunk at 5am is not a fun calculation to have to run so often)

I always worry about my friends whenever they go out, I keep hearing horror stories and while we're having fun I'm still always slightly on edge watching out for everyone

Experience has taught me to be the "make sure everyone gets home" friend in the group, which means I never get to be the irresponsible passed out one
I graduated a while ago now, but my class in engineering was 10% or less. It's not good, folks.
Tbh I did find that women in science are disproportionately queer
