I've had similar experiences with being bi/gay and not getting along with other gay/bi dudes, and having trouble finding people who don't perceive and treat me weirdly when it comes to dating. Once I finally found one of two people who weren't like that, I found a ton of other people also not like that through them, and now I no longer feel alienated like that. I suspect you may have a similar experience if you keep at it. Once you start to find the right kind of people, you find a lot of them.
