Roe V Wade was overturned before the midterm. This jackass had more than half of his Presidential term to do anything about Roe V Wade. He was the vice president for Obama for 8 years and Obama promised to codify Roe V Wade into law in 2008. The reality is that he doesn't support Roe V Wade or abortion access. He's just lying.

Then, reiterating his position on Roe, he said, “I’ve never been supportive of, you know, ‘It’s my body, I can do what I want with it.’ But I have been supportive of the notion that this is probably the most rational allocation of responsibility that all the major religions have signed on and debated over the last thousand years.”
    https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2024/03/11/joe-biden-profile

Biden says that he doesn't support bodily autonomy and that he thinks that religions have authority over abortion access.

My religion believes abortions are basic human rights, and refusing to provide them is a sin beyond forgiveness

I only care about Christianity, will pay lip service to Judaism, and don't know the first thing about any religion outside of that.

I still think it's wild that I just learned that Samaritanism is a thing, an abrahamic religion even, that split with the Jews well before the Christians but originally, yeah, same religion. I was reading about the Druze the other day too. It's crazy how many religions there are, i literally do not know how a person decides to believe in one

              You decide by being born.

Samaritanism is the same religion as in 'the parable of the good Samaritan' in the new testament, though obviously evolved

They don't. If maybe 1% of religious people consciously chosen their religion i would be quite surprised.

The president is simultaneously a helpless smol bean that can't do anything without a trifecta supermajority and friendly courts, and able to "do everything in his power" to the point I'm supposed to fear it.

He has the extrajudicial authority to drone strike Trump so long as he's in another country and can classify him as a terrorist (should be trivial given the liberal views about Jan 6th). But nooooooooo that would be "uncivil".

Liberals think the rules are there to protect them. Chuds think the rules are stacked against them, thus have no problem pushing them aside. Both are uniquely privileged views.

Liberals can't do self-criticism. The fact that they're arguing Biden's promise is meaningless hasn't occurred to them.

I do self-criticism constantly because I’m trapped in a Maoist cult where comrades (white terrorists) criticize me mercilessly for having a fascist credit card (VISA Silver Signature Rewards)

They won’t let me order vegan pizza anymore because the phone is fascist and “summoning my pizza slaves with a bourgeois app” is “bad vibes”

Can't the president literally just issue an executive order for literally anything at which point it's up to the court/congress to go "um that's illegal"

Like there's nothing stopping Biden from ordering the military to set up free access abortion clinics except for the potential to be stopped after the fact?

Hell, even without the leak, the case started in December of the previous year, so he and the democratic majority in the house and senate had half a year to work on something even before the verdict was delivered. And they should have expected and prepared for a conservative-majority court to deliver such a verdict.

There's really no viable excuse, they just failed everybody.

Solid af podcast. They can have some cringe takes, especially towards AES, but they interview some great socialists, they're genuinely funny, and they are good people at the end of the day.

While Jake doesn't really try to play the hard insurrectionist revolutionary, he got arrested during the George Floyd uprising and fought zionists on the barricades at UCLA. As far as podcasters go, that's pretty cool.

Honestly as much as he gets hate here for the right reasons I still respect Robert Evans for being on the front lines against fascists back in 2020 when he got his hand broke by some Oregon Nazis.

We should not judge everyone solely on their worst opinions. (with obvious exceptions)

Of a similar opinion. Once I learned of his bullshit with the feds I don't suggest his podcast or listen anymore, but if he were to be reporting on twitch on a protest I would def tune in again.
