There always was a pretty big chapo - gaming overlap just because of the demographics and all. Plus the fact that GCJ is one probably one of the most active left-leaning subs on reddit still, it ends up being pretty good for posts.

Zombie apocalypses bring out the worst in settler colonial mentalities. Night of the Living Dead at least seemed to show cops and klan being bad. It's been a long time since I've seen it so I can't fully remember.

The original trilogy of Romero Dawn 'Dead' movies had a lot of great social commentary. Pretty sure they're all on free on youtube if you look, too. Edited because I am a fuckup who can't remember which word stayed the same in all three titles.

he recounted the anger and desire for vengeance he felt when he saw the video—and how he later reconsidered and regretted those impulses, saying they made him feel “gross and guilty.” But it gave him the kernel of a story.

    how magnanimous of him.

The mentioned lynching of the 2 soldiers were after they were arrested in Ramallah during the Intifada. You know, the revolt where IDF soldiers gunned down civilians from helicopters, ran over protestors in military vehicles including children, destroyed houses as collective punishment. In the 2 weeks before the lynching alone 20+ Palestinian children were killed by them.

He's horrified about when the Palestinians killed 2 enemy soldiers on Palestinian land tho. 2 Soldiers who weren't even born there. They were literally Russian immigrants who chose to be settler-colonists and join the Apartheid's army.

Idk I had a good time with it. Definitely not as good as the first game but it's enjoyable, except for the very end really.

Did not see the Israeli-Palestinian conflict parallels though.

      What was wrong with it?

Edit: downbear? Really? Where do you think you are? I'm genuinely curious, I have not played the game nor have I seen any non-chud criticism. I loved the first one and just wanted to know why the second one fell short.

Broke: Hating TLOU 2 because transphobic

Woke: Hating TLOU2 because it is pro-Israel

Praxis: Forgo the hate and play Deadly Premonition 2
