Finishing up my 7th straight day at workyes-honey-left

Honestly hasn't been too bad though, aside from one really busy day where I was covering work by myself.

Got my first date in a few years set for tomorrow, so my head is in the cloudsshy

Finishing up my 7th straight day at work

Mostly just due to needing coverage for someone's vacation and not having enough employees to be able to really cover for that. At one point we had enough people, but after someone left they were never replaced. There was a long discussion and a lot of, "yeah, we'll see what can be done" or "we need to see number to make sure you guys really need the help." 2 years later of being the highest volume shop netted us nothing.

That's the reserve army of labor system at hand...

Keep many a laborer unemployed and searching for work, and keep the rest overemployed, and, as Capital, ye will have good dominance over the two by their instability...

A lot of white people especially Europeans think colonialism ended 400 years ago or something, crazy because my own dad who is still alive was put in a colonial prison.

My partners grandmother unfortunately had to have surgery for endometrial cancer and they're flying down (masked big-cool) with their immediate family to take of her and we're worried they're on the no fly list just for being Muslim :/

Either way TSA is gonna be harassing them

How do I not fucking lose my shit with people when they try to show sympathy for this racist piece of shit? The amount of lives he's ruined and deaths his actions have caused in communities I grew up in prevent me from feeling anything other then extreme rage that this motherfucker still gets to breath after being shot at. We die every fucking day because of people like him man fuck

Just a preview for when his image gets rehabilitated within the next 5-10 years and an even more unhinged fascist is running the show. "Remember Trump? I didn't agree with him on everything, but at least he isn't [insert fash of the moment]."maybe-later-honey

I grew up with older people.

I'm used to older people, tbh.

      Also, hello again, Othello.

Frankly, I'm glad that I grew up with older people, but it already hurt my socialization skills as a PDA Autistic person.

But I oddly don't regret it, even when considering that.

That's how I actually saw beliefs that were more radical than the "younger generations," at least when it came to economic issues.

Social issues were usually in conformity with the times (2000s, 2010s), but otherwise, lots of interesting stories.

I feel like that as well a lot, but I've found a kindred spirit who turned out to be a friend recently, a journalist who wants to interview me and is interested in Marxism (who is also Latino and Autistic), afaik.

              Wrote for WaPo, Slate, etc.

That, and a TTRPG group in my area, which I've been going to for almost a month now.

Let me tell you: continue to use Facebook to find friends in your area, including Nextdoor (you never know what group you're going to find).

On another note, I feel definitely queer, my gender dysphoria and pining to be a woman is growing bolder, I think; I know what feelings to identify and what they are. I saw a video by Alexander Avila (on YouTube) and it put a lot of things in perspective for me and dealt with internalized ableism and internalized transphobia. Things are moving forward for me in a positive direction...

...except I've been stuck in one particular situation since a month ago regarding people I know IRL and I'm waiting for a resolution on that because GODDAMN it is taking a lot out of me, practically aging me twice over.

                  Yeah

I've... been betrayed by some people.

                  People I thought were friends.

I confined into one about possible racism against me and they... didn't take it well, it seems.

It's a whole episode right now.

That, and family issues with one of my brothers going to pseudo-science quackery to "fix" his mind, but yeah...

🎵 they ask that you give every american
    equal human rights
'fore you ask our leaders to give their people
    human rights
i'll represent america as a human rights ambassador
but before i take such a post
you have to clean your own backyard first 🎵

🎵 they got plenty human rights in america
but some people got too much, while others suffer
the rich; the white; the bureaucracy
do anything they want, 'cause you set them free
but you frame the poor; the black; the minority
then made them suffer to get their liberty! 🎵

          from an archive.org upload:

          • Son of Sam — Name used by David Berkowitz, a convicted serial killer. His sentence was seen by many as too lenient due to the eligibility for parole after 25 years.

"too much" human rights = privilege. that's what the lyrics are referring to
