Maybe. I see these photos of him with blood on his face and fist raised and then I look at Biden mumbling about bed time and for me it feels like Trump is an inevitability.
But you're right, maybe the fear will be enough to rally
idk, I think the shooter not being a lib means Trump isn't going to come at them hard yet, so they're safe for now and not going to feel as threatened (especially with the shift in language), and I don't think they're going to be motivated by fear in that way.
It was pretty close last time, and that was after Trump bungled COVID, and the supply chain issues and inflation rising made the economic issues obvious to everyone.
Genocide Joe has not helped Average Joe's economic situation, COVID is still a huge problem, he's doing a genocide, I and my neighbors have to travel 5+ hours one way (and stay in a hotel) to get an abortion, he hasn't protected our trans kids and comrades, he's doing a genocide, he's enacting Trump's border policies, he's dumping money into the carceral system and military-industrial complex, he's doing a genocide, he has increased environmental fuckery and put a tariff on solar panels, he started a war in Europe and seems to want to start one in Asia, and oh yeah, he's doing a genocide. Voting for Joe Biden is not exciting for anyone not employed by or related to him, and we know enthusiasm matters for turnout.
I loathe Trump, but I can see how heroic and awesome this incident has made him look to his fans and otherwise disinterested people. Voting for him will be exciting for them, and I get it. I hate it, but I get it.
They lionized him, there's no chance for the dems now
I think this actually helps Biden more. Libs(and a surprising number of folks on here) are predicting violent reprisals from Trump if reelected.
Fear of a Trump presidency is what got Biden elected in the first place.
