Was it though? Rewatching it I realize it's lib at best, conservative at worst. They portray unions negatively, they crap on Castro, and they do glorify the troops unashamedly. I don't think this scene was intended to portray the soldier negatively.

Edit: also they portray kissinger and Bush Sr positively

I just saw this episode and it is definitely satire. It's stated very straight, rather than a clear joke, but it's definitely making fun of this exact type of article/propaganda.

It's been awhile since I've seen those episodes but from what I remember, the portrayal of Kissinger and HW are far from positive, Kissinger comes across as a weirdo that dropped his glasses in the toilet and spaces out mid conversation so he can monologue in his head, and HW is portrayed as a vindictive neurotic prick.

Um, Shooting down an unmanned drone doesnt count as a "kill"

Like when they shot down that weather balloon does that count as a kill too lol?

Cue a million thinkpieces about Arab/Muslim misogyny and whether they can ever truly move into the 21st century and make space for women and girls and maybe we should go over there and civilize them introduce democracy

What air-to-air kill? They shot down passenger plane? Oh, a drone. How much that flight cost compared to a drone?

It also led two self-defense strikes on targets in Houthi-controlled Yemen

I wish happy getting self defenced to all imperialist pigs.

Nothing screams self defence like dropping bombs imperviously from above on a country halfway around the world.
