Not gonna lie, if I was Snowden I would regret throwing my life away for this country of idiots.

I don't think he's trusted in any meaningful way. It's just good good to have him around for propaganda purposes, i assume

You are way overestimating how much your shitty government pays its own employees

He was probably making 90-140k with good benefits and a pension? His healthcare insurance deductible was probably still 5-10k lol

That money in USA before he cashes his pension is a pretty average life in other developed countries because of how shittier everything is here

It wouldn't take much money for Russia to beat that standard of living

Source: Max pay for stem roles at nsa is 180k since 2023. In his day, it was probably closer to 150k http://federalnewsnetwork.com/pay/2023/08/pentagon-approves-higher-cyber-pay-for-nsa-other-defense-intelligence-agencies/?readmore=1

Cathie founded ARK to focus solely on disruptive innovation while adding new dimensions to research

This doesn't actually mean a goddamn thing

She was only really lucky once with Tesla. Cathie wood has lost billions of her clients' money when they invested with her. Cathie is not a good money manager; she's underperforming the S&P 500 index.

The worst part is having Brand get too high, and he starts waxing poetic about some dumb esoteric shit and nobody can say anything because he's too passionate to interrupt so you just kinda sit there looking at each other, until you lock eyes with Trump, who can also astrally project, and then you realise how good things were before Trump couldn't interrupt your voyage into the cosmos with his endless tirades about how good the Milky Way was before it was invaded by illegal aliens from a different galaxy.

Also Snowden does this weird thing where he pretends he isn't high, I dont know what his deal is.

These guys who are going all basically think Bitcoin is money, right.

Imagine the brain you gotta have to go to Money-Con.

Actually, money-con could be sort of cool. Coins and currency are a very public art form, with deep historical connections, and coin collectors tend to be fairly chill for a group that skews as old rich white guys, eager to share their knowledge and obscure interests.

Their big conventions (i. e. the annual American Numismatic Association shows) will often have neat exhibits (deep dives with explanations into a specific weird currency, or courses in counterfeit detection and grading) or you can gawk at a single coin worth more than any house in your neighbourhood.

In contrast... Bitcoin is all the ugliness and malice of money without either the utility or the art. This would manage to be an event you left stupider than when you arrived.

Money con unfortunately exists and I have unfortunately gone for work and it is exactly what you would think except both worse and also more mundane

Trump points at his temple. "Official act. I don't even gotta say 'official act' because if I think it's an official act - it's an official act. But it's good to say 'official act' because..." He goes on another two minutes and Snowden has a sort of smile formed on his face as if he's about to laugh but he doesn't laugh. He looks like a broken Disney animatronic where the eyes blink but the facial muscles are fubar and the robot makes very small but noticeably uncanny valley movements.

It’s essentially the same thing lol. I think he just changed employers but retained the same responsibilities more or less. I don’t think I’ve heard Snowden talk about crytpo in terms of business. Usually he talks about the privacy aspects which is disappointing as a supporter because he has no choice but to show up to these scam events if he wants anyone to hear what he says

"I'm the greatest president in the Make America Great MAGA history of all American history."

And the people on stage with him reply.

          "Yes, you are."

"Strong and powerful. There isn't even a close second!"

          "I agree 100%."

"Yes. We all envy and adore you."

"You shine brighter than the Sun. You are second only to God and it's only by a little bit..."

My mother is big into Bitcoin... like before any other crypto existed. bought it when it was like $1. She asked me to come if she'd pay for everything. So not gonna say no to a week of free food. Also when I agreed Edward Snowden was the top of the speaker list and was like okkkk not so bad.

Everytime I look it's gotten worse. Shouldn't be surprised.

Lol, Russell Brand. Remember when Mark Fisher's "Exiting the Vampire Castle" used Brand as an example of a leftist unfairly targeted by the left?
