With hallucinagens it's much more of a fundamental change whereas weed sorta just fogs and tweaks the normal experience. It's really not something anyone can describe, it has to be experienced, and I know that's cliche but it's so true lol
In the depths of my deepest shroom trip I realized that if I closed my eyes I could literally build the reality of my eyes being open from scratch with my mind, and that I couldn't tell the difference as I opened and closed my eyes. Honestly wasn't ready for that kind of power lol, ego death is one hell of an experience but so inspiring
I tried those a few times back in high school before I was able to get my hands on actual LSD. Sometimes, if I were lucky I'd get some of the classic hallucinogen effects, but most of the time just intense nausea. And the taste omg the taste, thinking about to this day makes me sick. Was this also your experience?
I've just had em the one time, got em from ebay in 2010. They were psychedelic as hell though, it was my great drug lesson. About 90 minutes after dosing when I still didn't feel anything I convinced myself they were bunk and ate some more just for fun/ to see if I could get even like a little buzz or something out of curiosity. Think I ended up eating 17 and then a bit after two hours from dosing I started getting hit with truly insane stomach cramps, my ab muscles were convulsing asymmetrically which was quite a disturbing thing to see, and my stomach felt like I was being stabbed. Hung over a toilet for two hours trying to puke unsuccessfully and making peace with the fact that I'd poisoned myself with drugs from the internet. Two hours of that and the pain finally subsided and gave way to the most intense trip I've had by a mile. But ahhh yeah the taste is fucking abysmal haha. It's like eating stale dirt if there could be such a thing. I've made myself gag just trying to think back to it before. The smell/taste of kava reminds me of it a bit but it isn't even as bad.

Edit: like a waking lucid dream
I had a similar experience on hawaiian baby woodrose seeds, i couldn't tell if my eyes were open or closed because it looked the same either way
