Laughing at your own joke in a public announcement is truly my-hero energy.

Is he laughing at his own joke? Or is he laughing at the dorkiness of the “ackshully nerd the site was picked back when Harris was the VP I rate this claim five Pinocchios” fact checking?

Yeah, for once, I think he ends up looking like the nonnerd here.

Dude just throws out a random joke like five people heard and this fucking nbc dweeb has to broadcast it.

He's laughing at the 'fact check' though.

The fact check is so irrelevant it would be like her saying 'actually, the us military does not consider Chicago a combat zone'.

The dems hit upon something powerful with this “weird” thing, but they just can’t shake their fundamental nature of not understanding tongue in cheek comments

Is that a typo or did he say it in that clunky way? If it isn't a typo i would hate to attach my name to such a fumbled joke. Then again he is a fumbled joke.

I liked the bit in TrashFuture were they said that Trump Jr chose this guy because he wants to earn his father's love by showing him a guy that's a bigger pussy than him.

Yeah, but the joke is funny, and the "clap back" from the liberal is the most self-aggrandizing, performative bullshit ever, so I'm on his side on this one. And only this one.

What's with spacing out Elon's name, anyway? I know it avoids his fan brigades name-searching on Twitter, but that's hardly necessary here

I do it to mock the common habit (also common in the media) of taking billionaire assholes and grifter celebrities and using their first name as if that's their close personal buddy and/or the person is SO important that everyone should know there's only one, say, "Sam" in the world when it comes to Sam Harris cultists, for example.

cringing imagining this middle aged ivy elite square drafting this trying to come off as cool and nonchalant

probably wrote a 2 sentence comeback to the lame fact check before realizing it's just as lame, then realized he didn't have it in him and tried something simpler despite never using 'lmao' before in his life, then asked his intern "not capitalizing this is hip isn't it?"
