Had a good-natured laugh when she compared NT people to Windows and ND peeps to Mac. Linux is right there! But maybe her statement is accurate as far as the population numbers go.
I feel like I'm in this talk. I have a very peculiar mix of social/technical skills that are well suited to a particular profession. My social skills are pretty rough to nonexistent otherwise. I won't say what profession but suffice to say it attracts people like me, so I wasn't alone. I definitely have seen and felt the exploitation she talks about.
On the other hand, I've also seen a ND coworker request and receive accommodations that went beyond what I expected would be considered "reasonable." Like, he got approved to perform different tasks than other workers. I was all for it, so was my ND coworker, but there was backlash from others. That bothered me so much.
I've thought for a long time that Marxism attracts ND people. Like... I've never fit into "normal" society ever in my life. As a kid I was always with the other misfits. Nothing about society made sense, people were always doing things contrary to what they professed to believe or hold dear. Fast forward thirty years, I start learning about the contradictions of capitalism, and slowly things started to click. I could finally start processing why nothing made sense to me as a child. The system can't make sense! That was so freeing, to realize that, and that there are alternatives.
Anyway, that's my take based on my personal experience. Thanks to anyone who read all this.

Literally same!!! And the capitalist realism caused me so much despair too.
I could finally start processing why nothing made sense to me as a child.
Hell yeah glad to see I'm not the only one who thought of this pun
