Come stay in Guatemala for a month and live as a local. And I don’t mean as a well-off local in Antigua or anywhere else expats tend to stay. You’ll understand what it’ll look like after the month is over.

Company towns but they're all basically private prisons held by different corporations. You can apply for transfer between them, but there's no commons or society outside of them for the proles. Neoliberalism's psychological prison is just way too effective to just lock everyone up in cages, but the frills we have now will go away and freedom to dilly dally will be largely restricted as climate change makes interstate borders in the US much more relevant. I say this a lot nowadays but I recommend reading The Grapes of Wrath and Parable of the Sower.

What would we even brexit from? NATO? It's us and our goons armed with our guns. The UN? The security council suddenly becomes somewhat more effective.

Purging all government offices would be even more immediately apocalyptic than brexit. Like I'm pretty sure the UKKK still has some form of food safety regulation (for now)

I think the things that they care about would continue while the things they don't would get taken apart, but in a more rapid fashion than the "starve the beast" approach that there been doing for half a century.

        So, not much change?

Yeah, if you ask a conservative to design their ideal government, they almost without fail end up recreating the Articles of Confederation from first principles.

It would be largely what we have right now. The only thing holding the US administrative state together right now is that lawsuits challenging federal agencies rules and regulatikn re: Chevron Deference being overturned haven't advanced through the system yet or cases haven't been brought to cripple the agencies (yet).

In terms of things I imagine would get worse quickly:

    • After they purge as many federal employees as possible who aren't explicitly Republican-aligned they basically break the remaining welfare programs and sell any remaing state-controlled assets to themselves (probably a lot of water rights nationwide and any held or protected federal land)
    • Minorities see increased harassment/identification from increased coordination between the remaining enforcement/investigative federal agencies and local police departments that result in deportations/indefinite detention facilities
    • NLRB is gutted immediately instead of through Chevron-route challenges and and expansion of legislation making unions actually completely toothless

expansion of legislation making unions actually completely toothless

They could make unions illegal and make it a felony to be in anything they consider to be an underground union.

I'd imagine like techno favelas, actually kind of not far off from what we have now, like bleeding edge personal treat tech while infrastructure has become utterly precarious and the people live like serfs while the .0000000000000000000000000001% are patiently waiting to fuck off to mars.

I finished Tulpa book 1 but haven't gotten to 2 or 3 yet.

I think I saw a picture somewhere of somebody holding a fairly thick section of pages from one of the ready player books captioned this part is literally just a list of pop culture references

I haven't read RP1 but I have read several the zanth novels and it sounds suspiciously similar in concept. There's a game you have to play and only if you're sigma grindset enough do you get to earn your place as a rich citizen.

Those guys are in Death Stranding they're the lesser type of enemy. The greater type is ghosts you throw jars of piss at.

I don't think there's a coherent answer to that. They want specific policies, and they want specific results, and they're not the results that come from the policies they want.

They want the government to do nothing, except also kill their enemies, and suppress anyone they think is inferior, and definitely stay out of business, except censoring any woke media. The results are what you expect from a fascist government - a few brutal years then it disintegrates under social unrest and bad economics.

But the result they want is a wholesome old timey sitcom with a doting wife and no sign of non-white people except maybe as maids and farm laborers, and also they're allowed to sexually harass their secretary and the mismatch between that and the doting wife fantasy is her problem. And I think that's, like, physically possible, if the government does a whole lot of repression, provides a robust white-men-only social safety network, and enforced hiring quotas (of white men). But those aren't the policies they want, and there will never be popular support for a nazbol movement (thank fuck), so it won't ever happen.

I'm going to assume we're talking about the chuds themselves, not the people who lead them. I think firstly they're going to run into the problem that they're incredibly confused and self-contradicting politically. They'll push some confused populist reforms that will still be on the whole good for people. I think they would quickly set aside some of the more insane chud policies. Capitalists will try to get ahold of the situation but honestly? Without the liberal party coming to clean up some of the more glaring mistakes every 4-8 years chud politics aren't stable in the long run. I think we'll end up with very confused democrats before the end of a decade.
