Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't rest in power reserved for people who have been failed in someway by the system ala police murder victims, dead revolutionarys, etc? Like saying rest in power to RBG is like super cheap and wrong right?

After we establish global Communism and citizenship is but a faint memory, I want to live in a remote island in the Pacific and dedicate my life to becoming a cursed madperson like someone out of a HP Lovecraft story.

I'm a misfit sculptor with a slightly off-putting gaze and I'll be happy to carve out cursed artifacts of all shapes and sizes under the influence of wild rituals. For payment, I only ask that you teach me the language of the unspeakable things that swim in and out of the many mysterious shipwrecks that surround your island.

I almost think it would make it go up, at least after some early turmoil. Between pence and biden i think theyd be fine with either

LIB SHIT WARNING LIB SHIT WARNING

I thought Jim Carrey was a good Biden. Portrayed him as old and senile, and got his mannerisms down pat.

Seeing jim carrey in action is always something to be treasured. Even jim carrey half-assing something is more entertaining than like 90% of comics are in the state of flow. I thought he really had the biden face dialed at the very beginning but relaxed it through the middle. The voice impression got really good towards the end, like that soft round way that biden finishes words he really started nailing. I was wondering if the inconsistency was maybe because be had to adapt the majority of whatever he'd been rehearsing like 24 hours before the show.

i'm a simple enby. Just want to eat hot chip, love wife, pet cats, and for donald trump to die of self-inflicted COVID-19. Is that really too much to ask?

Cross country road trip, two weeks in colorado with friends, just drinking and smoking weed and playing hanafuda while basking in the ineffable beauty of the mountains, sleeping in hammocks. That's what september could have been if the united states didnt suck such incredible shit. The yearly trip that gets us through our trash pointless jobs. "Maybe if we push it back to october," we thought in like april, fully knowing it was doomed. At least i read a couple books and learned some cocktails i guess.

Yeah, I also really miss roadtrips. Though typically we would rush it a bit more due to work situations.

Boston to Alaska and back in 17 days was a bit too forced.

whistles damn yeah that must have been a bit of a hustle. The first few we did we never gave ourselves enough time, like 9 days to out west and back from ohio just really isn't enough to relax. Much nicer to have extra time (when work allows of course) so you can hang out for a few days at a place and take it in a bit before having to pack up and move on.

        How was Alaska?

It was cool. Anchorage is actually a pretty fun city, great craft beer/cider/distilling scene, good food. Chill.

Then we camped in Denali, which was good, though somewhat negatively impacted by one of the people who joined us. They had no chill, even less flexible than I am, and I make spreadsheets to plan my trips.

But yeah, I liked it. Would definitely do the drive again, but I'd want to at least double the amount of time we took.

Wow I was just looking at pictures of Anchorage and Denali and they look like amazing destinations. That's one big ass mountain. Guy with no chill reminds me of the first big road trip I did, ohio - california fresh outta high school. One of the friends we brought had a previously undisclosed condition of NEEDING a shower every night. Not because he smelled or anything, he was just incredibly insistent on needing an actual shower every night and was intolerably crabby the days we didn't throw down for a hotel (which was most of them).
