im pretty sure they only throw out whataboutism when you try and draw parallels between what america does and what the state department is trying to get people outraged at.

they never use it to point out when someone is changing the subject after they've failed to defend one of their arguments.

Imagine only knowing (incorrect stuff) about two things, and you can't even spell one of them.

I propose a game of bingo for these recurring liberal dog whistles: Tianmen Square, Uyghurs, Holodomor, North Korea, Do you condemn HAMAS?, etc.

If they hit BINGO by naming 5 or more, then they get a prize:

i dont think there's any value in continuing to communicate with that person. but if you must i would just tell him if he want's to talk about china he's more than welcome to fuck off and find someone else who wants to argue about it with him. you don't have to defend any point you're not making, and if you try they'll just bring up some other bullshit gotcha they can use to justify to themselves that you're still somehow wrong despite being factually correct.

There's really no value in continuing to communicate with anyone. Anyone reachable has already found their way here on their own.

You don't convince people of anything with one internet argument. Still, I think it's worth it to try and state and defend your beliefs publicly. It may or may not sway anyone but it does at least force you to examine and understand your beliefs so that you can competently defend them.

Unquestionably false. Everyone has different experiences on different timelines relative to each other. Maybe you would have been hopeless if you weren't here by now, but other people didn't come to lemmy at the same time, have the same interactions, have the same broader background, etc.

      So, this?

NGL, it doesn't look like a very fun kit to build. Maybe if it was the full complex rathrr than just the central building it would break the lines up more.

Lmao that’s when you know you’ve won the argument. Liberals talk a big game about being logical but always resort to sick burns and downvotes when they can no longer argue in good faith.
