This dumb fuck at my job site who said covid was fake got it now we can't come to work until we get tested. So I saw the vids. You saw the vids. Does it feel like your brains being scooped out?

Edit: I guess I feel better about it reading the responses.

my doctor administered an anal covid test. I'm starting to think he's not a very good doctor

Your eyes will water a ton - but it's no more than 20 seconds of extreme discomfort (around 10 for each side). I would say less of a sharp cutting pain, and more of a pinching type of pain. Imagine an extremely stuffy nose, just without any of the humidity.

Edit: Should mention that mine was done with a bit over an inch of swab into the nose; not the one that goes all the way in.

Feels just like getting water in your nose, but weirder because you’re not actually underwater. Don’t let others fool you, it does hurt a little

It's like that moment right before you sneeze but more intense and lasts 10 seconds

im very susceptible to pain and really, just bite your tongue or squeeze a tissue package and you'll be fine, it lasts about a second. you will need to blow your nose afterwards tho.

Feels weird, most of all. Uncomfortable, and once they've taken the little stick out, it still feels like you've got it up there even a minute later.

It feels a little groody if it's the first time you truly realize you've got a huge hollow space up in your skull, at least it did for me. I knew the things were there, but still, groody.

It's the feeling you get when you eat a somewhat spicy raw chili pepper, or a glob of horseradish, but concentrated at the top of your nose

It's not fun, but really not that bad and it's over super quickly
