I wonder if the judge not allowing them to have a defense back fired on them. I feel a jury would be far more likely to convict a moral cause if the cause was able to make their own case. But by refusing to even entertain that idea, the jury saw the whole thing as illegitimate.

As much as the media tries to paints the west as homogenously Zionist I really believe most average people can see what's happening, I think UK media might be better in this regard. I check out the Guardian from time to time and they have been mostly clear about the atrocities and genocidal nature of the war since pretty close to the start even with their liberalism.

Honestly I don't see much UK mainstream media, I should temper my comment, overall they could be much worse but The Guardian at least seems not frothingly Zionist compared to basically any major US outlet

The BBC does not acknowledge the genocide, actively downplays or erases atrocities, and spreads Israel's propaganda. It's worse than any US corporate news. I am not exagerating. It's utterly shocking how bad it is.

Gotcha! Glad to hear they’re alright, all I know is that a few years ago the broader British media was frothing at the mouth to defend Israel and attack anything they deemed as antisemitism
