Let them talk comrades lol
Scrolling through Hexbear I fail to see any communities that are anywhere near the level of ‘extremism’ of Lemmygrad
He called you guys soc dem
that thread was filled with incredibly disrespectful lemmy users commenting despite not being midwest.social users. not one hexbear user tho! got locked less than 45 minutes after posting. i sent a DM to OP explaining ourselves and inviting them to make an acct here. they said they would join us if/when midwest.social defederates from us!
I want to point out they are comparing us to raccoons...
that doesn’t mean wild raccoons (or those that behave like them) should
... and I did not post
A few comments down the chain from that raccoons comment the same user accused someone else of using ad hominems. Then in another chain someone asked for examples of our bad behavior and they just said "excellent cherry picking" without any further elaboration.
My god if that thread hadn't been locked we'd have seen unprecedented levels of dunking on that loser.
The image they attached to the cherry picking comment fucking rules. Incredible posting by some of these libs
That image really is something. It has a checkmark and an x between the two trees, yet the trees themselves have nothing to do with the analogy. It's just two people picking cherries from two trees.
Heh, nice logical fallacy, check out this infographic scrub
Whiskey Pickle is a turbo lib who wandered into a thread on Lemmygrad's chat comm after the reddit API stuff to complain about the 'grad. Hijinks ensued.
Raccoons are cool and good (and this particular one happens to be from the Midwest!)
I'm genuinely a little surprised and touched that every HB who saw the post respected the request to not comment
Hexbear users avoid commenting?
You can't do this to us.
lol @whiskeypickle responding to every comment pointing out logical fallacies meanwhile committing one themselves by dehumanizing people they don't know, the funny thing is that they're not even from the aforementioned midwest.social but lemmy.ml
We have a large and active instance. We see things and interact. It probably looks like a flood to their smaller communities so they think we're planning it all. I have a feeling it wouldn't be a problem if it weren't political disagreements.
I've always said commenting and posting should both be bannable offenses.
This thread is only for cool people and I need all the not cool people to stop posting right now.
