We don't have a diy com, so I'm posting on main.
Air purifiers are stupidly expensive for no real reason. Also they are out of stock everywhere due to the wildfires. I know for a fact all they are is a pressure optimized fan with a thermal protection circuit, and a HEPA filter, both of which are very cheap. I wish go make a few myself due to the inflated cost, but I don't wanna burn my house down. Anyone have any recommendations on how to do a thermal protection circuit for such a thing? Probably gonna use a fan from a thrift store or something as the base for this.
The main noticable benefit other than higher air quality is stuff doesn't get nearly as dusty. I have a small one good enough for one room, and it brings down the dust to the point I only have to dust stuff off once a year instead of once a month.
I have a serious dust problem it get aweful plus i have a long unkempt hair so theres these hair balls everywhere How do you not have to clean the dust and shit off your floor and desks for max 2 weeks
I had the exact same problem because of animals, my bedroom no longer is super dusty but the rest of my house still is.
Sounds like a bourgeoisie toy it wont fix the stuff you breathe when you step out of your apartment nor the pesticides and heavy metals and plastics you eat
I mean if youre living in a place thats burning to the ground or has alot of pollen or shit i think some strong ventilation will always help
