Does anyone know if this is true for the other food delivery apps?
I’m assuming this is a recent change because I saw a comment on reddit about a month ago from a restaurant owner that implied they had to pay for items reported missing.
I’m sure 99% of the time it’s not the driver’s fault if there’s a missing item, especially when stuff is sealed so they can’t even check if it’s there.
The gig bubble is gonna burst and holy fuck is it gonna be hell on earth. Millions upon millions of people losing either primary income or supplemental income that pays their rent.
Labor will become cheap as people compete more and more viciously for jobs that pay only enough for you to buy shift meals so your kids don't starve.

This is assuming that the Techbro ghouls aren't penalizing both the restaurant and the driver and keeping the extra.
And somehow still losing money

This seems against labour laws... No?
