I cannot explain otherwise how so many people can nearly hit a vulnerable road user at like 20kph and then be mad when those people are quite irate they nearly just got hospitalized. Like yeah this'd be a nuisance if I was in a car, but I'm not.

Anyways give everyone not in a car a gun so they can retaliate. You may not hit the car, you may shoot periliously close, though.

My buddy was a bike courier in Midtown Manhattan back in like 2003. He got hit so many times by yellow cabs and suvs that he rode around with his bike lock in his hand. You clipped him, he would break a window. Shame they got cctv everywhere these days lol.

In my experience people treat you a little better when they actually hit you. Tho I've only actually been hit once.

i know thisll just come off as a flippant hexbear take to libs but what if we legally removed peoples ability to own a car when they go around killing people and almost killing people with their cars

This and also what if we legally removed people's ability to own a car unless they demonstrated a specific and pressing need for one

I'm okay with owning a car for recreation but only if they're restricted to designated race tracks and have to be stored at said race tracks, although at that point it might make more sense to form racer clubs that own the cars communally with each enthusiast pitching in for maintenance/other costs

We don’t think talk enough about how crossing the street is basically like entering a war zone in most US cities

Just one of the many conversations we swept under the rug in all mainstream political dialogue

Assassination attempts in burgerland should just be crosswalk vehicular homicide. Everyone is primed to accept it as inevitable, and the legal system insulates you from consequences.

I know I almost put you in the hospital with thousands in medical bills that you can't afford and possibly lifelong pain and suffering but did you consider you almost scratched my paint?
