So where do they draw the line for what's bannable? I get this one cause they've been spammed with it for like a week, but can I post "communism will win" or something like that and have it stay up? What about earnest arguments (not that I plan on doing that)?
On 4chan it's pretty much up to the discretion of the mods of the board. Aside from rules against things that are illegal, they have vague bannable offenses like off-topic, trolling, low quality, etc. that can be interpreted differently by different people. Not that I have a problem with them as a community having rules like that, but it's hypocritical and funny that they like to think of themselves as a free speech no hold barred unsafe space but saying you disagree with their beliefs or calling them ugly gets you banned lol
I don't know about /pol/ specifically but on other boards they'll delete the thread/post and give you a temp ban, usually 1-3 days but can be longer if your IP keeps getting bans. Occasionally they'll leave it up with a "USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST" message so people can gawk, but it's rare.
Before trump I think it was almost impossible to be banned from /pol/ for any explicitly political opinion. I don't think it's that much different now, there have always been (very few) lefties posting memes there. but even when they 'talk shit' they just parrot slurs, it's really dumb and forgettable. I would encourage all fellow failson leftists to post memes and insults there. I once presented a Kelly comic as if it totally owned the libs and I got a few bites lol
Yeah I saw someone on here recommend just posting a meme or flaming an argument (I mean you could probably just post straight faced or something I'm sure) and then shutting down your PC and walking away. Thought it was a funny idea.

Right, but are they on T_D level about it usually (instaban)? Or chapo level (generally stays up but everyone is gonna talk shit)?

For left-posting, right?
for anything they don't like, which includes leftposting
