In reality: My duty is to try to dismantle the economic system which tries to make an example of Cuba by crushing it under its heel. My best chance of helping the international struggle to end exploitation is by working to systematically disassemble the centerpiece of global exploitation, the US.
I love Cuba from the bottom of my heart, but probably not. They’re in a really precarious position. They import like 60% of their food (And especially since covid are dangerously low on foreign currency reserves), and the overwhelming majority of their electricity is produced by fossil fuels imported from Venezuela. If a right wing coup happened in VZ things could get real ugly real fast there.
Given the almost certain trajectory of the future, moving to any island nation closer to the equator is a terrible idea.
I hate hot and humid weather, but I've read a good comeback for Chuds when they say "If you hate 'Murica, why don't you leave?" or "if you love Cuba why don't you go live there?" Answer: because I don't want to be a victim of US Imperialism!

I think living in Cuba would be really fun and awesome. However, Capitalism is a global system and there's really no way to escape its impact (whether first or n-th order) --- unless you're rich.

To paraphrase Black Red Guard: Cubans would want workers in the imperial core to stay and fight, to struggle to make revolution in their home countries so as to lift the boot trying to choke the life out of Cuba through trade sanctions. So no, I wouldn't move there unless I had no other option. Let them save room for revolutionaries like Assata Shakur who literally can't organize in the US without getting thrown in prison.
Also I can barely handle humid New England weather, living in year-round wet tropical weather in a warming global climate and standing in front of multiple category 4 hurricanes on their way to the Gulf Coast every year sounds like a nightmare.

you should ask that question to the average person living in countries that have similar geopolitical/historical/geographic conditions, such as haiti or jamaica

As of right now? No, unless I felt it was ultimately necessary for the safety of myself and my SO like, “Forced repatriation or prison camp,” levels of bad. And at that point I’d hope we’d have the foresight to jump ship to Canada or something.
