Please give me your advice chapos - I live in (helped gentrify) a working class neighborhood and the single mother above me is super fucking verbally abusive to her 10 year old daughter. I considered reporting her to CPS, but I honestly have very little faith that it would improve her situation. The daughter's grandmother is my landlord and is relatively nice/understanding, so I thought about talking to her, but my friend thought it might be a sensitive issue to bring up, especially if she already knows and is ok with it?
I'm so fucking torn, and I feel I've let it go on for way too long already - what the fuck do I do?
I don't think the child is in physical danger. Based on the rabid verbal abuse it's also possible she is being physically abused too, but it is "stable" in the sense that this has probably been going on for a long time. I do think I could probably text my landlord without evidence per se and not be doubted, as I've been a pretty good and communicative tenant. No idea why she would think I was lying. Thanks for the advice <3
Do you know anyone else in your apartment/building? It might be a good idea to talk to others in your community (perhaps they also might know the mother / daughter / landlord)

I was thinking more like texting, you're thinking for first-hand evidence?
