I know what his thinking is: if the Biden campaign loses, he will be blamed for it in the most stupid ways, like "An Assange tweet from early 2020 was on your timeline so Biden lost" and if he does what the Biden campaign says he will have some influence in the Biden administration.
But Dems will prefer working with "honorable" Republicans over Bernie no matter what if Biden wins and Bernie will be blamed for Biden's loss no matter what if Biden loses.
Sanders will be the chair of some committees if the Democrats have the Senate. He does not need to be on the transition team or Cabinet to have influence.
Sanders is one old and tired guy, someone who's done literally the most to push the left forward in America in recent years. Acknowledging that he's giving up and getting nothing in return for it is fine - it's the truth. (Though burning all bridges and going out in a blaze of Democrat-denouncing glory may close future paths for young Berniecrats, so maybe him going quietly at least legitimizes him in the eyes of Democratic voters.) But throwing invective against him is misdirected anger. He can only do so much. Let him rest and take care of his heart. Make sure youngings like AOC don't slide backward instead.
Getting cucked by the Biden campaign and he will absolutely get nothing in return.
