$11 gallons of wine sounds like a headache in a bottle

It was a magical day when I saw gallon glass jars of pickles in the grocery store for around $9.

    1. Buy gallon jar
    2. Distribute the pickles to pickle lovers (mostly trans women)
    3. Use empty glass jar to ferment things in

      pickle lovers (mostly trans women)

That's way funnier and somehow based than it has any right to be

As someone who was once in the same situation. The one gallon jugs that you buy for $10 are designed to fit a rubber plug on the mouth and all the mouths are the same size. The $11 jugs that you buy which are filled with wine don't have a consistent mouth size, so you might need to buy different sized rubber plugs for each. It's not a huge problem, but it is a slight inconvenience.

You can turn the extra wine into vinegar. it does this naturally if you leave it open for a few weeks. This depends on the alcohol content, and you can buy starter bacteria for the process to speed it up.

I did this with a one gallon jar of pickles so I could turn it into a squirrel feeder. It was significantly cheaper than just buying an empty jar of the same size.
