      This is some real shit to me. I have some serious anxiety about the fact that modern civilization is all of us in a bus driving towards a cliff, with the driver's foot firmly on the accelerator pedal. Therapy is available to me, but what the fuck are they gonna say? Tune out?

        this won't affect you as much as local politics.

        If you're going to self-inflict electoral harm, at least do it in a place that actually can affect your material conditions rather than scaring yourself with the imagined trickle down of national/federal politics.

        And then, obviously, get involved in your local community, food bank, shelter, grassroots political organizing group, even church groups and try to help push the focus onto helping people
