All the libs are like "Oh shit he dunked on them so hard" but all he did was whataboutism. His point is that Kamala was lying and that's okay because Republicans lie too. They're celebrating that Dems are admitting they're liars.

And the Fox News hosts can't point that out without indicting themselves too, so the clapback worked for its purpose.

If you're a healthcare pls person, this does nothing. If you're in it for the reality TV nature of politics then it's a win. Yeah, he didn't have a real answer because he knows it's a flip flop so he had to push it back to them. But it ultimately doesn't accomplish anything except let dorks treat it like WWE.

No he just Aaron Sorkin'd the Republicans so hard that democrats took control of the supreme court.

The CIA really should have gotten somebody who writes realistic dialogue to program Petebot's speech patterns. The Sorkin-speak gives it away everytime he waits for a laugh break.

Pete may be a ghoul in a human skinsuit but he sure as hell is a good public speaker.

I've never seen anyone make complete non-arguments sound so sharp. In this clip he basically just says "but Pence also bad" yet the fox clowns are absolutely stunned.

He always sounds like he's saying the most important and meaningful things until you actually think about it and realize he actually said "The shape of our democracy is the issue that affects all other issues" or some shit like that.

Are you shitting me? Dude's got less charisma than my fucking cumsock. How low is the fucking bar in America? Dude wouldn't last a minute in the shithole that is the house of commons.

And in twenty years there will be another one of these things, except the next one will have won an essay contest with an essay on Buttigeig being great and will have moved rightward of Buttigeig to run for president.

“The shape of our democracy is the issue that affects all other issues”

We shit on this a lot and Pete deserves it, but this statement isn't as vapid as we make it out to be. If our democracy is in bad shape, and it is!, then that's going to impede the will of the people. But...impeding our will is exactly why Buttigieg exists.

It is actually a great and quick clapback, but also dodges the real question of how come Kamala is fine with people not having healthcare now.

This is some real shit to me. I have some serious anxiety about the fact that modern civilization is all of us in a bus driving towards a cliff, with the driver's foot firmly on the accelerator pedal. Therapy is available to me, but what the fuck are they gonna say? Tune out?

this won't affect you as much as local politics.

If you're going to self-inflict electoral harm, at least do it in a place that actually can affect your material conditions rather than scaring yourself with the imagined trickle down of national/federal politics.

And then, obviously, get involved in your local community, food bank, shelter, grassroots political organizing group, even church groups and try to help push the focus onto helping people

I don't think this works as intended. Pence obviously is working with Trump, but I don't remember him renouncing his faith in marriage/immigration.

However Kamala actively changed her ideals and narrative, no?

Ehhh getting him into the Biden/Harris administration and then him doing some corruption like taking money to legalize faulty e-scooters across America might be the only way to tank him before he runs again.

I cant believe he trotted out the whole religion thing between pence and trump, nobody cared. His entire base doesnt care that pence is weirdly devote, and AFAIK, i dont think they like him at all.

How are they still holding to what failed them so hard in the last election, he says what his voters want to hear, he doesnt have to deliver a thing! The only way to counter that is to have your own highly charismatic speaker who promises you better, who helps you manifest in your mind just what needs to change, what steps to go forward.

AND THEY DROP THE BALL LIKE IT’S THEIR ONLY JOB.

Hypothesis: if you bang on about :gui-better: :amerikkka: and :crab-party: and this pisses you off more than any GOP candidate doing all the live long day... you might actually be a lib who still believes in electoralism :AyyyyyOC-big:

I'm just numb to the GOP. They've so openly evil I'm not surprised.

Also I'm not surrounded by losers IRL that think Trump is Jesus. The losers I know thought Mike Bloomberg "was a good businessman" and that Pete was a good middle road candidate. Iny my social media feed, I never see pro-Trump stuff. Every day I have to see Biden's decrepit face from instagram yelling at me to VOTE VOTE VOTE because friends willingly post it.

So I don't hate libs more, but this is where I can go to feel sane and complain about them.

The GOP are honest - they're the bad guys. Dems tell you that they are the best you can ever hope for, and you're also a bad guy unless you pledge your undying loyalty to them.

Meh, for a politician, that was pretty good, give credit where due. He's still a slimey, smarmy fuck, and I hate that he'll be around for ages, that obvious spook
