We shit on this a lot and Pete deserves it, but this statement isn't as vapid as we make it out to be. If our democracy is in bad shape, and it is!, then that's going to impede the will of the people. But...impeding our will is exactly why Buttigieg exists.
It is actually a great and quick clapback, but also dodges the real question of how come Kamala is fine with people not having healthcare now.
