    i can only speak for myself.

    theres a lot to criticize when it comes to china, they're selling duterte weapons, there is still a lot of corruption, etc. its fine to discuss that. but the core of a lot of china "struggle sessions" at least, to people that defend it, is that it IS a socialist state and it IS better for socialists, and theres no point in critiquing it when the person youre discussing it with is outright dismissing its worth/viability as a socialist state. and more often than not, the criticisms are based in western propaganda or western chauvanism.

    its not really "worshipping the state"
