    The fundamental flaw in all this always revolves around "Who watches the watchers?" And historically, the answer has never been optimistic.

    Socialism is just a system. At the end of the day, you have to have faith that the controlling party are themselves divested of personal gain or ambition and that they will be true to the system. It's the ultimate "tautology" as you say, faith in a faithless, materialist system.

    I'm hoping to high hell that the current CCP regime doesn't get drunk off the fumes of the capitalism that's propelled them to new heights and can exert enough humility to give the working class the keys to the city.
