Happy Sunday everyone. I hope everyone's removedober has gotten off to a good start. I played through Grim Fandango remastered last week, and continue to fritter about in minecraft. Hope everyone has a good week
Stardew Valley! What should I do to prepare for winter?
Also, rip spooptober. Caught in the crossfire of the slur filter.
Still trucking through Crosscode, only about 5 hours in. Life has been crazy between work heating up, death in the family, getting engaged, haven't had time to actually game much.
I've been playing lots of Subnautica. Starting to get base building down - just did the thing with the floating island and so plot is definitely happening, but I'm struggling to get much further without the cyclops or prawn suit though (have blueprints, still need materials).
My friends are astonished I can play given my extreme cetaphobia, but this game doesn't have any whales so it's only regular scary.
Apparently the sequel does have a whale that looks very much like a whale. Guess I can't play that one.
Gonna play the new Crusader Kings 3 Expansion with a buddy in coop later ....unless he ditches me again because he needs to sleep
playing through Metal Gear Solid for the first time. Got to Sniper Wolf and realized I didn't have the fucking sniper rifle so now i have to backtrack. Liking it otherwise, though.
Also having fun building little villages in Tiny Glade
Seeing bits and pieces of the Hololive GTA event a few weeks back got me to reinstall GTA V recently and I've been playing the multiplayer again. I simultaneously love and hate this game. So many stupid design decisions, quirks of antiquated tech and blood-curdlingly blatant money grubbing but damn it, nothing does the same things it does
I've also been continuing Wild Arms and I'm almost done with it. When I last mentioned it I said it didn't have much in the way of obscure and hidden side content, but that was before I hit what would have been the "end of Disc 1 moment" if the game had been on multiple discs. Old JRPGs just gave an airship and expected you to explore every single pixel of the world map and talk to every NPC
I dumped about 100 hours into X4 in 2 weeks and hit a wall. I haven't touched it in a few days but I think I know what I'm gonna do when I get back into it now.
I started playing Portal Revolution with my kid today. It's an amazing mod so far. The voice acting maybe isnt the greatest but otherwise it's been a blast.
My removedober game this year is Dying Light 2. The first Dying Light is one of my favourite games. This sequel is not hitting as hard as the first game so far but it's still okay. Smashing zombies with a baseball bat will always be fun.
Satisfactory. I just got a liquid fuel powerplant going and producing 2GW off one pure oil well, with the byproduct turned into fabric and overflow sinked so it never stops. Next I need to figure out the logistics for making modular engines and adaptive control units.
More Halls of Torment, finished the latest season of Blowback and it was good. Have now switched my podcast to If Books Could Kill and it's pretty fun but the hosts are clearly libs and I occasionally find myself muttering "you are a liberal".
The game is also fun.
Currently replaying the Warcraft 3 campaigns and also on a StarCraft 2 coop kick. Using default hotkeys for wc3 and grid for sc2 means my fingers get confused sometimes
I was playing "drive yourself to despair sparing with BlueMAGA fash on Bluesky. That place is just twitter with a better standard of literacy and less porn.
