    I know his issues, but I don't regret my support for him. It feels like we had to have a failed Social Democratic movement in order to accelerate the development of socialists in the US. Like we had to eat shit in order to develop.

      he was a real socdem, and he gave people (americans, certainly not the rest of the world) real hope for a moderately better life.

      succeed or fail he would have given us a lesson on the limitations of succdem-ery, but in failing I think he put more people on an accelerated path to becoming a communist than winning would have

    I feel like half this site has one of these

    I was in <early primary state> to support our man and saw a very inspiring chapo live show that year, in addition to a bernie rally earlier on. But the inspiration lasted, even as my opinion of Sanders fell precipitously. For all the flaws of the podcast, they are true believers and can be inspiring at times, and the camaraderie of singing solidarity forever with 1000 fellow comrades will not fade
