malicious hexbears are taking advantage of people's trauma to turn them against the west folks (and judging by the recent survey, turning them trans too? kyle )

There's a very very fine line, maybe invisibly tiny, between "radicalizing people" and "sharing what you have slowly figured out without a guide by watching politics interact with the economy from 2006 on".

i dont even know who they think hexbear is radicalizing at this point, we're defederated from the biggest instance and for years werent even federated at all, and like I think the only advertising I know that gets done by hexbear users are our beautiful trans posters on !traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns@hexbear.net so most people who make their way to this site are already radicalized to begin with. and if their problem is with this site being advertised that means they're mad that our trans posters are trying to build up the trans community on lemmy which would be extremely transphobic tbh

As the OP demonstrates, our comrades on .world do a ton of advertising for us by complaining about us nonstop.

maybe instead of being manipulative group of people we're all infected with a brain worm that either makes you like and enjoy the site or makes you obsessed with the site and makes you bad mouth it on other sites even when your critcisms dont make sense kyle

Whether I was radicalized by Hexbear depends on where you draw the line of when someone has too many brainworms to be counted as properly radicalized, and on the extent to which the exorcism of those brainworms is attributable to Hexbear versus any number of other things.

Edit: rephrased, "too many or too few brainworms" makes it sound like you need to have a golden mean of brainworms to be a radical

yes i'm not saying no one has been radicalized by hexbear, more so that it's not an explict goal of the site and most of the people that make their way here are normally already socialists of some stripe
