It's too bad Neal Stephenson is a chud - its funny if you look at the progression of the books he's published because you can literally see the brain worms set in with every subsequent story. One of the more recent ones was ultimately about some tradwife libertarian family living on the canadian border stopping middle eastern terrorists from invading the country, and the hero of almost all of his books are enlightened business owners. I highly recommend looking up the synopsis of his latest soon-to-be-published novel for some laughs.

        Gibson is a lib

Yeah that sucks. I found Gibson's work to be amazingly visually evocative. I love the Sprawl Series to death, despite being set in an extremely bleak future

How about Walter Jon Williams? Hardwired & Voice of the Whirlwind was my jam but I haven't read them in a long while

I don't think Seveneves was written by a chud, though i think he wrote some fetishes into it.

Usually when people rag on Stephenson it's because in Snow Crash YT was like 14 and sexually active.

Wait, Stephenson is a chud? Is there more to it than stupid book plots?

Well, 'weirdly horny for venture capitalists' would maybe be more accurate a description than chud, i was a bit tired at the time
