"Punk" as a word has lost all meaning. Like so many things absorbed by capitalism, it sells the concept back to consumers with with dangerous bits stripped out.

Punk is when you wear a leather jacket but don't have a motorcycle

Punk is listening to the Cyberpunkerinos 2077 soundtrack while hustlegrinding all night for your tech company.

Punk is when you do back of-the-envelope calculations of how many solar panels it would require to keep the status quo going but on renewable energy.

        No.

Mods are probably scared of the backlash. I notice a distinct reddit culture among moderators where people think being a "good mod" means doing what the community wants and not going against it.

I remember her from occupy in downtown Phoenix. She seemed so normal.

The empire entangles you with its demands, formed and settled centuries before you existed, and pulls you into a mold that strips away the sharp, jagged and incompatible teeth of your world view, shaping you into a unique but compatible gear ready to be slot into its great engine, to ensure it's forward momentum. This process leaves you with the presentation of a radical anti-empire outsider, but to the careful observer, it is clear your movements are synchronized with the interlocking gears.

You might even be convinced that you haven't changed, but everyone changes under the weight of the empires demands.

I hate how people like this type. Talking down massively and doing the paragraph followed by a short statement cliche. It's insulting.

I get that punk means nothing nowadays, but seriously, how condescending is it to explain the electoral college to a punk audience? Are they not supposed to be very politically active? How can someone be a punk and not know how voting works?

Democracy is when there are only 8 states where your vote matters
