Credit where credit is due, the Trump administration did order the DoD to pull nearly half of the US troops in Afghanistan out and the House of Representatives threatened to cut all military spending if Trump did it without proving it would be beneficial to America's enemies of some bullshit like that. It makes sense that the Taliban would support his presidency.
