Reading about the American election is making me want to rip out my eyes. I am so tired of the yanks going back and forth about nonsense. I don't mean about your post, this is funny but everything else about this is absolutely maddening. Do the internet warriors really think that they are out there chaning minds with their posts on reddit/lemmy/twitter? I hate it so so much, please god be over soon/

The reddit front page is almost exclusively "Trump bad" posts, has been for weeks. I know we like preaching to the choir but this shit is a whole other level of just reassuring each other that doing nothing but supporting genocide is good (plus many many bots).

this will be my fourth general election and I've voted for a woman every single time. Jill Stein in 2012 and Gloria La Riva in 2016/2020. now Claudia De la Cruz in 2024. but I wanted Bernie to win in '16 no naturally I'm a misogynist bro

Voting Stein is a vote for Trump. Voting Gloria La Riva is a vote for Trump.

young-sheldon Therefore if I vote for Trump it will count as a vote for both Green and PSL.

voting thrid party is a vote for trump, or harris, or thrown away depending on who you ask

so if you love democracy you must vote third party because its a vote for every option and is therefore the most democracy

Comrades, I have to confess. I voted for Kamala Harris

    spoiler

in 2010, when she was running for attorney general and claimed to be against the death penalty.

As someone who just turned 35 this year, I cannot wait to cast a write in vote for myself. I think I'd do a better job than all the past presidents and current candidates. Plus I could really use the bump in pay.

In 2020 I had at least 4 people, all customers from my last job write in my name for president lol. I have statistically received more presidential votes than over 99% of Americans.

I didn't even tell them to as a bit, they just told me after the fact because they had become so jokerfied by the last two elections and the ratfucking of Bernie.

I won’t join a party anymore, I just don’t see the point in being affiliated with any on paper.
