Comm to talk about magic the gathering. I formed a discord server for hexbears to talk magic before, but some people prefer matrix, and we're generally too different in timezones for a discord to be appropriate. I would like to discuss the game and share resources for playing the game cheaply/for free.

I should have enough time to mod this myself.

this might be a good candidate for a megathread in either c/games or c/ttrpg honestly

Agree! We can do that for the time being. I'll make a thread today/tomorrow and we'll see if /c/magic is worth adding.

What if I want to pull a rabbit out of my hat? Can I talk about that too? What if I want to saw a woman in half and not kill her this time?

You just reminded me of old internet lore about a torrent tracker that focused on magic tricks and how they constantly had fights with magicians who were mad about the site spilling all the beans. It might still be out there, but it was a pain to get an invite because they shared methods from professional magicians who would saw them in half if they found out.

Edit: theres an old article about it

No, any comm named magic should be about tricks and illusions, not some game.
