I still remember when they downgraded the claim from bulletproof to "resistant to subsonic rounds"

Which in actual terms means it's not bulletproof

There's a video where a bazinga wanted to prove how much his ZYBERTRUKKK could resist le zombie apocalypse and very gently passed a hammer toward the window. cringe

didn't musk actually do that at a pre-sale promo event for investors and easily crack the window and it was just behind him with the window broken the entire time? shit was so funny

He threw a big steel ball at it and yeah it just sat there on stage with the broken window for the rest of his presentation

The biggest bazingas tried to "own" that moment and put doge images around it and such. It was a fucking embarrassment because the carnival barker lied a bit too directly and showed his own ass and there's no getting around that.

It can still survive the apocalypse. You just have to make sure no one has guns and there's a diesel powered charging station every 200 miles! so-true

I mean maybe the raiders of the doomed future will ignore the inert husk of a ZYBERTRUKKK and the rotting corpse inside because there's still roaming in search of GUZZOLEEN.

Yes I know GUZZOLEEN doesn't last that long sitting in the tank but it's still a funny image and the movie didn't care.

As a certified Mad Max Enjoyer, I'm obligated to tell you that gas going bad isn't ignored by the plots of the Mad Max movies. They are drilling and refining (or at the very least refining) new gas in the Mad Max universe. They do not rely on stockpiles from before the end of the world.

I thought I remembered a scene in Road Warrior or maybe Thunderdome where Max was trying to get some gas out of a tank of a derelict car.

You know? That probably does happen. But I'm going to (until I watch it again and go "huh, UlyssesT was right") assume it was a desperation situation and not the normal way to get gas.

I do remember Gas Town being a place and a major plot point in Fury Road, so I figured it was a sort of kitbash of everything to make vroom vroom go boom boom.

If and when they make it bulletproof they'll probably be hitting themselves with the ricochet lol (Elon pls make it happen)
