Golf is great.
It's mostly for rich people now, but it doesn't always have to be that way. A lot of things we like used to be only for rich people.
Once there are no rich people, we can all golf. The working class will love driving around a beautiful park in a tiny car, drinking and smoking (you're allowed to smoke weed on golf courses in Canada), hitting a ball as hard as they can... And it's one of the only sports that you can still play pretty well even when you're old.
There's a reason rich people golf as much as they possibly can and try to keep poor people from joining in. They're hoarding it because it's good.
yeah, I'm playing using clubs I found at the thrift store. it's the only sport I'd willingly play, and I need to lose 70 or so pounds

Me to. I think it would be more environmentally friendly to convert courses to some kind of artificial turf or something idk.
I don't really know anything about this, but I'm thinking that the rough and fairway could just stop getting sprayed with pesticides... maybe replace the rough with clover or something that doesn't need maintenance. Clover would get on the fairway, but you could just mow it and it would be the same. The green could easily be astroturf. Water hazards are full of chemicals, but you could totally replace the water hazards with something other than water. Like, just a space that's marked off.
You like playing golf, or you like watching golf? Two very different things IMO
