Currently in nursing school and luckily in a union heavy state but god damn if a majority of instructors never bring up the reason why we have things like legal ratios (i.e. nurses in specific departments having a max number or patients with certain acuity patients demanding nurses to have less patients to deal with) and don't ever bring up fucking unions at all as if they'll be snatched away at night by Aetna sponsored Pinkertons. Also fuck me if healthcare isn't filled with almost 50/50 split of pseudo left leaners and just outright chuds.
What’s the source of this? Looks like a longer piece and I would like to read more
hell yeah, salting is such a good tactic. the anti-union employees owning themselves is icing on the cake :che-smile:
normally I'm against things that cost real people their jobs (ie. workers not bougie fucks), but this is probably the exception simply cus it's using the boss' heartlessness against them
something tells me though that the passive organizer had better be fucking amazing at lying and not willing to take a massive payout
Hmmm I wonder if the skills we picked up playing as the Impostor Among Us will help
If Among Us has taught me anything, it's that you should fire anyone you see doing their actual jobs out of an airlock immediately.
i agree, that's a iffy to me too in most cases, but if it ends up unionizing the place i can't argue with results
yes that's a bigger concern, mhm. you would need very devoted and disciplined believers in the cause. same with any successful leftist project i suppose

3000 men lost jobs.
3000 men gained jobs.
As a neoliberal techno-nerd, I see this as a push. Therefore, no harm was done.

People who are committed towards a cause may see victory as a payout more generous than any table-scrapes the boss throws your way.
how does the active organizer avoid being fired? especially since the fired worker would know who asked him to join the union
The active organizer only works undercover until they have sufficient mass to protect them specifically. At that point it becomes difficult to fire the person who workers are gravitating around but still possible to fire rank and file members. So keep real membership secret, and placate the boss with a false sense that he's accomplishing something by firing antiunion workers.
