My suspicion of psyche of this caliber of lib is that they are caring about precious institutions. Thus casual materialistic, transactional, disregard for them will annoy them more than incorrect opinion on the best vote

This is the first year I've ever seen this done. I saw the republican version posted on here today, and I've seen ads with this same threat in my area.
My next request that you vote will come with a severed finger. No, I will not tell you who it belonged to. What do you mean, why am I doing this? This is just being a good citizen!
Their logic is just higher turnout = more Democrat votes, so why not just bully people into voting? Probably won't work like that.
