They already do but don't call it "imperialism" cuz that's commie talk
I haven't heard the term applied to Hamas, but I've heard libs call Russia and China imperialist. It's at the point where a lib will deride you for not thinking either of those two countries ara imperialist.
Imperialism is when the army does stuff, and when the army does a whole lot of stuff it's interimperialist war.
Parenti wrote a book called "To Kill A Nation" where he detailed the Ygoslavian breakup and the NATO invasion and bombing of public infrastructure and government buildings (including a Chinese embassy).
His overall take is that the narrative pushed by NATO/US interests was false and he defended Milošević against his charges of genocide. Something which the Hauge was unable to prove and eventually just landed on "well, just because we don't have evidence doesn't mean he didn't do it".
This lib is saying Bernie is anti imperialist because he supported the NATO bombings of Yugoslavian infrastructure and the balkanization of the country along racial lines (followed by massive privatization of formerly public industry) while Parenti opposed it.
Show me all the punk songs with Bernie opening them... I'll wait... Meanwhile...
