I remember when he was actually respected as an actor. He's said some pretty terrible things, so I'm not exactly sorry about him having to be in generic schlock like this (plus it probably pays surprisingly well).

      What has he said?

I doubt it's a super payday but it's a super easy payday. A geezer teaser actor has a sweetheart contract so he has a maximum number of hours a day to work plus a maximum number days he'll work - say 3 weeks or whatever. Film studios are loathe to go over those limits because they'll have to pay exorbitant fees to the actor.

And - of course - nobody expects him to do a good job. If he wants to - he can sleepwalk through his role. He got the gig due to his brand.

He called MeToo a witch hunt and said he used to go around ”black areas” waiting for a ”black bastard to show up so he could kill him” because his friend had been assaulted by a black man.

Granted, the last one was 40 years ago and he's said he was sorry for it, but it's still pretty what-the-hell to me that you'd admit to having an excuse to do a hate crime.

I have zero tolerance for anyone who ever dismissed MeToo at this point, though, because it's obvious that there are far more people who deserve to be ”cancelled” and never will be than people who've supposedly been innocent victims of ”cancel culture”.
