But at least this means company line go up!
Has anyone ever had their employer health insurance improve over time?
Yeah me either. Capitalism and innovation and efficiency always making things better...
And Biden is gonna reinstate the insurance tax mandate. ACA is gonna be a fuck as tech companies go 100% remote and everyone exits California.
I had an employer with an extremely good PPO option start to offer an allegedly better HSA. The HSA was slightly worse coverage with a much more complicated pay structure that worked out to cheaper if you never needed insurance.
I did yeah, but it's only because the company I worked for was acquired.
4k isn't awful these days tbh. It's probably sort of average.
The real kick to the balls is that this resets every Dec 31. Hope you don't get sick or injured late in the year! Otherwise you're out for twice as much
Yeah mine was $10k as well and then my appendix stopped paying rent and I had to evict it. Poof bye bye $10k
The majority of Americans can't afford a $500 emergency. What's even the point of paying premiums for the privilege of not being able to afford healthcare?
My out of pocket max is somewhere around $20,000 (including both in network and out of network). And of course it's more than it was last year.
High deductible health plans are inhumane and their only purpose is literal torture.
