I had no idea working with vector images could be so painful. Btw, I had to vectorize hexbear's design from a low-quality raster image of one of the similar emojis. Is there any place the emojis are hosted in vector form?

I'd include a suggested category but the emoji picker is broken on my machine :( Probably whatever the other hexbear-* emojis are under.

    May I request that it is hexbear-polyam ? I'm part of the polyam community and it's something that some of us are starting to push for, get it to be polyam instead of poly. Mostly because poly can be ambiguous between polyamory and polynesian. And by we I mean a real small group of us because the polyam community is incredibly diverse, but I do at least think it's the right thing to do and I haven't ever heard a compelling argument as to why not. Disambiguation is usually a good thing especially when it's a group containing a lot of mayos trying to disambiguate from a more specific racial group as not to other or exclude that group from their own history and experience.

    Just my two cents. Thanks for making this it's lovely even though I'm not a huge fan of the pi flag.

      What flag do you prefer? I've been in polyam relationships before but I wouldn't consider myself part of the community. When I looked it up the Pi flag just seemed like the most well-known.

        I like any of the infinity flag designs, but it's okay, the pi flag is probably still the most "correct" one, and it's better than the "new" design which is largely being rejected by the community because it wasn't chosen democratically. It's just like the polyam community to not agree on just one flag! Also thanks for editing it to hexbear-polyam, you're a true comrade :)

        There are many which is funny to me because it's so very polyam for us to not agree on just one flag. The pi flag is probably the most well known. There's the "new" flag which is largely being rejected by the community because it was NOT chosen democratically at all. I personally like any of the varieties of the flag with the infinity heart on it.

    Is there any place the emojis are hosted in vector form?

    The SVG files used to be on git.chapo.chat but since the update to https://github.com/hexbear-collective haven’t seen them. Presumably because getting back with main Lemmy also decoupled emoji being in the site code. @WhyEssEff@hexbear.net, are the vector files available anywhere?

      I've been looking into getting a proper repository up and running again, but I'm consulting devs on how to best handle it still. For now, they're on my hard drive shrug-outta-hecks
