Reminds me of the time I was in a conversation with two American veterans and I agreed with them talking about how the government just uses them and then throws them away, and most of the benefits they are supposed to get are fake. They assumed I must have been in the army because I showed a little empathy twords people fucked over by the military conning them into joining. They were genuinely shocked when I said I wasn't.
