I’m not really suicidal, I can’t die before my mom does. But I’m a white CIS first world man. Currently unemployed, normally worked in a creative field. Used to be tv and movies, then it was advertising/socialmedia/whatever. Lately I’ve been thinking about the petite-bourgeoisie and about treats and the first world and I’m kind of wondering if the world would actually be objectively better if I died. So I figured I’d ask the better-informed people here.
This is not a suicidal post. I swear I will not self-harm if the answer is yes. I’m just academically curious.
The answer is a very firm "No." — in fact the whole idea of "life unworthy of life" is a fascist trope.
Since your thought is on the basis of coming from a position of relative privilege, to fully deconstruct this sentiment, I think we need to first ask, "What makes you a white cis man from the imperial core?" — I'll come back to this thread later because I don't have the time right now to answer that question for you, but it is something for you to ruminate on.
